So n spent my whole saterday on the Red roman. I took my a arms and hubs and all stripped it down and cleaned and greased all of it up again. The a arms itself is more than 100 parts. Then it's still the spindel and hub and all. Well finished up with the a arms and fitted it to the quad. Making it look like a quad bike again. I left the hubs of the spindel as there is a probleme with my right hand side brake disc. It's all warped up.

Next i cleaned my two front Elka Elite long travel shocks and fitted them aswell. The shocks are still basically new, so no need for a service or anything.

Then i went over to the steering coloumb. The one stop arm got bent in an enduro race and got damaged and kept on bending as i use it. So my dad help me with this one as he's a better welder than me. So got the clearances back to what it sould be and welded it up. We figured to put a support at the back so that this arm wont bend again. I will just have to paint up the coloumb where we worked on it.

Image

Cleaned the handelbars and brackets aswell, ill get new grips later on. Sorted out the kill switch aswell. So now it will be much easier to sort out any problemes with it.

Image

Then i went to my parts rack in the store and found my two steering stabilizers. One peps one and one gibson one with 5 settings. The Peps stabilizers brackets broke and is a bit weak and the gibson one did not last long at all as the seals wear fast on them. So i took the two and made one. Gibson brackets on the peps sabilizer. Would love a lekke precision stabilizer. But i don't have the cash for that.

I then cleaned out the airbox and so on, and believe me when i say don't leave your airbox a month or 3 and try to clean it. It's not so easy. Ha Ha.

I will take some photo's tonight of the quad sofar. I only have the parts for today.

So a crap week last week with the accident and all, but life goes on and can stop and cry about what has past. So saterday morning i felt much beter and desided to go on with the build. I started about 10:00 in the morning and only finished up at 21:00 at night. So then i realized that im not fully recovered. I was stiff as hell and the pain started to creep up again.

I started the morning of finishing the steering coloumb, went to go buy new bearings and seals. Installed it and coated the coloumb up again. So installed the coloumb, handelbars and then the stress of my modified steering coloumb. And no need to have stressed at all it fitted like a dream. So then i oved to the back. Took my whole swingarm unit and stripped it down. Cleaned the swing arm, cleaned and checked the bearings, took out the bearing carrier and axle and all. So i fitted the swing arm and looked brand new. I then cleaned out the bearing carrier and stripped and checked everything on it. Regreased all of it and installed it. I took the axle and was fade and some rust spots on it and all. So i started sanding it with a very fine grid paper. So now it's shiny and looks new. I cleaned the rear shock aswell and installed it properly this time. The first time the breaded hose was taking alot of strain as the bottle was turned wrong. But sorted that out. So here is some pics for u people.
